Our Educational Philosophy:
The primary goal of our classroom is to provide children with safe, caring, and nurturing environment where children can develop a positive self-concept, have an opportunity to interact, play and develop relationships with peers, as well as staff and enjoy a positive early education and care experience. We understand that children develop at different rates and thus tailor our program to nurture and challenge each child and meet his/her individual needs regarding cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and motor development. Wee Kare follows a developmental approach. Developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) responds to the child’s interests and needs. DAP fosters a child’s growth in all areas and allows him/her to develop at their own pace. The social, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs of the children will be addressed by providing them with developmental learning experiences in language arts, music, fine and large motor skills, art, science, math, and socialization, individually and in small group.
Wee Kare Early Education Center is committed to meeting the needs of the children in our care as well as to adhering to the guidelines and regulations set forth by the Dept. of Early Education and Care.
